Week 13
Your Pregnancy At Week 13
Overview
Congratulations -- you're on week 13!
Physical Changes

Your uterus is now growing above your pelvis. You should start to gain some weight (if you already haven’t) that your probably able to desire and keep food down. Remember to keep eating small amounts every couple of hours and lots of fluids, preferably water.

Emotional Feelings

Most feel amazing. Sexual desire should start to come back as well.

About Baby
Your baby is now 2 ½ to 3 inches from crown to rump. The head is still larger than the body, but the body is beginning to catch up now. The face is starting to look more human, with the eyes moving closer together. Toes and fingers are clearly separate, and ankles and wrists have formed. External genitalia are becoming visible. Intestines are shifting into their proper place, too.
Things To Consider

As your belly gets bigger you may notice that your stance will be compensated by the weight. A chiropractor may be an option to help alleviate back pain. It is also a benefit for your up and coming labor and birth. Women who seek chiropractic care from the second trimester on, have a potential for shorter and less painful deliveries.
