Your Pregnancy At Week 17

Congratulations -- you're on week 17!
Physical Changes

Nausea is more than likely a thing of the past and Hunger has taken it’s place. Remember you are not eating for two adults, you are eating for 1 and a very tiny addition. Make sure your food choices are healthy with between 65 and 85 grams of protein accompanied by lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Oh…and lots of water!

Emotional Feelings

Still a great time emotionally. People may start noticing that you’re pregnant now.

About Baby
Your baby measures about 4.5 to 5 inches from crown to rump and has doubled in weight in the last two weeks to about 3.5 ounces. The lungs are beginning to exhale amniotic fluid, and the circulatory and urinary systems are working. Hair on head, eyebrows and eyelashes is filling in. Fat begins to form, helping your baby's heat production and metabolism.
Things To Consider
You may notice that you are a little more clumsy than usual , be aware of your surroundings. You may also notice a few dizzy spells if you get up too fast. So take it slow and sit down if you need to.
