Overview
Congratulations -- you're on week 28!
Physical Changes
You may be feeling more Braxton Hicks contractions (hardening and relaxing of the uterus, like rehearsals for labor). If your contractions feel like menstrual cramps and/or accompanied by bleeding or fluid leaking call your doctor immediately! Emotional Feelings
Lots of emotions at this point. Any where from excitement to completely terrified. Try to stay informed and focused. Education will help you get ready and feel somewhat prepared. About Baby
Your baby measures about 10 inches or about 15.75 inches from head to toe, and weighs about 2.4 pounds. Brain waves show rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, which means your baby may be dreaming. Eyelids are opening. Branches of lungs are developing, so there's a good chance that baby would survive if born prematurely now. Things To Consider
If you haven’t picked some baby names, this is a great time to go over some of the best candidates. Also, a great time to interview pediatricians and research circumcision, vaccinations and breastfeeding pros and cons.
