Your Pregnancy At Week 5

Overview
Congratulations -- you're on week 5!
Physical Changes
You may start to feel some familiar symptoms of pregnancy. Emotional Feelings
You might still feel a little bit in denial that you are really going to be a parent in 8 or so months. If you are having nausea or are throwing up, it’s perfectly normal to be upset or feel exhausted. Nausea usually becomes more tolerable or stops completely by the 12th week.
About Baby
Your baby is still considered an embryo. It’s about 0.05 inches long and the heart, brain, spinal cord, bones and muscles are beginning to develop. The placenta and amniotic sac are also still forming
Things To Consider
Nausea and being overly tired are two of the most common complaints. An easy solution is to eat something every couple of hours and don’t drink and eat at the same time. If you are still not able to keep anything down, make sure to let your OB/Midwife know. You may also consider consulting with an acupuncturist or homeopath/naturopath for an alternative option.
