Your Pregnancy At Week 9

Overview
Congratulations -- you're on week 9!
Physical Changes
Even though your uterus is growing, you probably are still not showing. So unless you tell people about your pregnancy, they probably won’t know. You have probably not gained much weight because of possible food aversions, cravings, heartburn, indigestion, nausea and bloating. Emotional Feelings
Tell your partner that mood swings and weepiness similar to PMS symptoms are very common in pregnancy.
About Baby
Your baby measures about 0.9 inches to 1.2 inches from crown to rump. The head and neck are more upright and developed. The arms and legs are longer, and the fingers might be a little swollen where the touch pads are forming. Though you won’t be feeling it quite yet, your baby can move its body and limbs.
Things To Consider
Watch your calcium intake as your baby’s teeth and bones are developing. Also, this may be a great time to research a prenatal yoga class in your area for when you are feeling better. Many believe that when your mind and body work in unison you feel better and it has the potential to shorten labor and decrease pain and anxiety.
